Programs for Today's Active Adults

Programs at Little River Glen Senior Center are offered as classes or as drop-in groups. These programs are made available to members through a team effort of experienced recreation professionals, specialized instructors, and the contribution of the many talented members and volunteers found at the center. You will find programs in the following areas of interest:

Health and Wellness: Brain Fitness (Trivia, Wordplay, Logic Puzzles), Emotional Wellness, Diet and Nutrition, General Fitness, Dance, Sports and Physical Games, Disease Education, and Psychology. 

Lifelong Learning and Education: Business, Careers & Finances; Computers & Internet; Higher Education, Science & Mathematics, Society & Culture; History & Current Events; Languages; Mythology & Folklore.

Arts, Humanities, Games, and Recreation: Books, Authors, Writing, General Music, Genealogy, Performing Arts, Philosophy, Fine Arts, Hobbies, Crafts, Board, Cards and Tile Games, Video and Online Games.  Currently we are looking for more Bridge Group Members.  The Group meets Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays in the Sun Room at 1pm.  If interested, please stop by the front desk and sign up.

March 3 and 17, 10:30 to 1:15 pm, Shopping Trip to Fairlakes Walmart and Target. Sign up at the front desk, $1.00 for the bus.

March 10, 10:30 to 1:15pm, Shopping Trip to the Greenbriar Giant.  Sign up at the front desk, $1.00 cost for the bus.

March 24, 10:30 to 1:15 pm, Shopping Trip to Shoppers and Dollar Tree.  Sign up at the front desk, $1.00 cost for the bus.

March 25, 1:00 pm, Elder Link - Deb Dunham

March 28, 10:00 am, Advisory Council Meeting

March 29, 10:30 - 1:30 pm, Trip to View Cherry Blossom, $1 fee for members, plus regular meal fee $5 fee for non-members and bring a bag lunch, make reservation at front desk
